BlackRainbow is delighted to announce our selection by the Police Digital Service (PDS) as the exclusive supplier of a groundbreaking dynamic decision and case management system for UK policing.
This £15.2 million, seven-year partnership represents a major milestone in our mission to empower law enforcement with cutting-edge investigative technology. Following an initial development and trial phase, the contract will enter a full roll-out period, with the potential to extend for a further three years.
At the core of the programme is NIMBUS, our flagship forensic, intelligence and investigative platform. Designed to unify and streamline operations, NIMBUS delivers true end-to-end case management, from decision logging and support to intelligence integration and collaborative working. NIMBUS Dynamic aligns teams, ensuring every decision is based on a single version of the truth, enabling faster, smarter, and more consistent responses to complex threats. The system has been purpose-built to ensure interoperability across agencies, supporting cohesive and confident decision-making.
The scope of delivery includes advanced application development, seamless system integration, ongoing support, desktop services, and the provision of both hardware and commercial off-the-shelf software — ensuring forces have everything they need to operate with confidence and agility. With NIMBUS, UK law enforcement will be equipped to tackle the most serious challenges, including organised crime, fugitive tracking, kidnappings, cyber incidents, and critical operations where lives are at risk. Crucially, the platform has been architected to evolve with changing policy and legislation, ensuring long-term resilience and relevance.
This award underscores PDS’s commitment to modernising policing through digital innovation, and reinforces BlackRainbow’s position as the trusted partner for next-generation investigative technology. Together, we are setting a new standard for case management and operational decision-making in law enforcement.
